A loose noose

I am talking with a friend when suddenly a noose is put over his neck. The noose is loose fitting and could certainly not strangle anyone, however he looks as if he is being hung. His body spasms and he gasps for air. I look around nervously and consider my options. After about five minutes I stand up and quietly walk out.
